In some good news, Cauayan City in the Cagayan Valley region becomes the first place in the Philippines where no new cases of the notorious COVID-19 have developed. Inquirer reports that as of 21 April 2020, the last 26 patients who contracted the virus were officially discharged.
Thus far, the whole province has been COVID-1– free for the 15th straight day where 14 patients have recovered, originally hailing from Tuguegarao City, mostly from the towns of Gattarn and Piat.
The Isabela province as a whole has had progress with 8 patients recovering from the towns of Alicia, Cabagan, and Echague, and the cities of Cauayan and Santiago. So far, the most progress and maintenance goes to the provinces of Quirino and Batanes who managed to remain free of the virus for more than 15 days now. One death was traced from Solano in the Nueva Vizcaya province.
